Last week was one of those weeks that seemed like it would never end. My poor boy was sick most of the week and wasn't sleeping well at night, so I didn't sleep so great either. It's also been a difficult time to be at the office for me, as a hard situation has been unfolding these past weeks that has drained me emotionally--on top of our "fall rush" of the church starting up several classes and ministries that all produce extra work. I've been going in to work early and staying late, which means my house was a mess all week and dinners weren't amazing. (or often, existing!) I was often tempted to feel discouraged and overwhelmed. It felt like life was a bit out of control. I had to constantly remind myself that it IS out of control--my control. But, fortunately someone much wiser is completely in control of every situation--God. And He is working all for the good, even when everything seems crazy and hopeless. My mom sent me a quote last week that helped remind me of that:
"There is no situation so chaotic that God cannot, from that situation, create something that is surpassingly good. He did it at the creation. He did it at the cross. He is doing it today." ~Bishop Moule
This quote was my motto last week. Every day I tried to remind myself that in the midst of all trials and difficulties, God is doing something good. I'm so blessed that I can find peace and joy in trusting Him, even when life seems chaotic.
Oh, and yes, Meg, I stole that picture from you!

Bekah---Hi! Happy marriage to you too!
Mom--I DO need some cuddle time with Baby V, especially since I saw those videos you put up of her. I guess I'll have to wait till December though...it's getting closer! Unless you want to send V on her first solo trip to visit Uncle Ty and Aunt Mindy.
