Let it snow?

On Sunday, we had our first snow of the fall. (That sounds wrong. There shouldn't be snow in the fall!) It was well-timed for me, since I had finally gone the day before and gotten all my winter clothes and coats out of storage. (Tyler was rather shocked to discover that I owned even MORE clothes--another whole big box!) Good thing I got them, cause it was chilly on Sunday! As much as I don't prefer trekking through blowing snow out to my car and then trying to get the snow off it, (I seemed to have misplaced my scraper-thing.) it was kind of fun and cozy to be snug in our apartment with our fireplace on and drinking cider. Of course, being that we live in Colorado, it is nearly 70 today and there's no sign of the snow left, except for on the mountains. It was pretty while it was on the ground though, everything was white and the trees were all red and yellow. It put me in a holiday mood...I want pie and mashed potatoes now!

Wow! What fluffy white snow you're holding! It almost looks fake...

Isn't it lovely? The reason it looks different is that is Texas snow...Meg took that picture last Thanksgiving. Texas snow is unique.

Pie & mashed potatoes? Hmmmm, like apple pie & a side of potatoes? With gravy? Yum.

I felt a bit festive myself on Sunday. So festive, in fact, that we rushed home, put on jammies & watched "The Incredible Shrinking Woman". Perfect Sunday afternoon... lying around, being lazy.
