I was called "Mrs. Shaw" by someone...not in a joking way, not by a solicitor, in a serious way. By a child. As in, someone taught their child that my name is Mrs. Shaw. I think I gave them a blank look while wondering how that child even knew Tyler's mom and then realized that they were talking about me! It was strange and makes me feel, um...old, I guess! Actually it made me feel young...too young to be called that by someone's kid! I think, in my heart, the name Mrs. Shaw will always make me think of my dearest mother-in-law...she's the real Mrs. Shaw, not me!

I understand completely. Mrs. Lyman is Danny's mom, not me. It still weirds me out when kids & even other adults call me that & it's been 11 years for crying out loud.
Are you saying I am old???
Haha...no! I knew you were going to say that! But you are THE Mrs. Shaw... I just quit calling people Mrs...so I don't feel quite right being called it myself.
ha, ha...you are old now! Diane and I are just the same as we used to be when people started calling us Mrs....you stop there....don't you???!!!! ;)
This is such a great post Mindy! I have had the same thing happen. Most little kids call me Ms. Tess but there are a few parents who want their kids to call me Mrs. Bush...I want to respect the parents way or training their child to address adults but I always feel strange...ha ha maybe when I have kids I'll feel like I'm a Mrs.
Min, I like sharing my name with you! I hadn't thought about it before!
Mindy,
Totally know what your talking about...but being a kindergarten aide Ive gotten used to the kids calling me Mrs. Hewiit. Although it was weird...now its kinda normal! :)
