Um, Happy Valentine's, late. I had a great one, except that it ended with me getting sick and falling asleep at like 8pm. My poor, lonely boy spent his Valentine's evening doing our taxes! Oh well, such holidays are always a bigger deal to me than to him anyway!
We've been busy--working, churching, and lots of hanging out with friends. Tyler got tickets from a co-worker to an Avalanche (our hockey team) game last week. I don't understand hockey at all and I have a scar on my head from a hockey stick, so those sticks still inspire fear, but it was really cool. Our seats were in the 6th row, which was amazing. I'm always the person up at the very top being like "Wait, I think that was our guy, number 75...or is it 16?" Actually, that's what the people with me say. I say "Can I have more nachos and what did they do to make us clap?" But this time, we could not only see their number, but their faces and the blood (lovely) when they started fighting. (They fight alot. I can't understand why they all just can't get along. Let's be friends, fellows!) We also got to have pucks flying over the wall at us...only in our section too it seemed. I think I'm a magnet. Tyler was rather embarrassed (and Jordan and Elmarie might have been too, but didn't mention it.) that whenever it seemed a puck was about to fly over, I'd cover my nose. But it was a fun memory. Even though we didn't get on the kissing camera...I used to live in fear of getting on one of those, but now I have someone to smooch.
And we had a special guest on Sunday--Tyler's dad! He drove up on Sunday and stayed the night with us, so we got to have dinner and hang with him, which was great! He's been skiing the past couple days and tonight he'll be with us again. It's fun to have him visit, even though it's a short one.
Also on Sunday, it was also the one year anniversary of when we got engaged. It was fun to talk and re-live those memories. (Like how it was one of the two speechless moments in my life---I could only nod!) It's crazy that it was only a year ago!
So, um...that's about it for now. I'm off early to go have needles stuck in me...aka...acupuncture!
