Another random bunch of things about my life...

Sooo, what's been going on? Well, I was sick again...yes...again. Which really frustrated me but I am feeling much better now and have great hopes of not being sick again for oh, 6 months or so. Tyler has been working alot, doing a bunch of side work, but he's finished with that now and so we can spend more time together and enjoy having some extra money in the bank! I'm so grateful for how hard-working my husband is! He takes such good care of me. At the church we are transitioning to a new administrator right now, as our old one, Paul, will be hopefully heading to the pastor's college this summer. So that makes things a bit exciting. Also, this week we are FINALLY getting a new sound system at church, which is such a blessing cause the old was was, well, crap. It is going to make such a difference for worship, so we are very excited about it!

Today is kind of a sad day for me, cause we were supposed to put a contract on the house we really wanted, but as we were working toward that we found out that someone else just put one on it and had offered the asking price, so we are thinking that we probably won't be getting that house, unless the other contract were to fall through and even then, we were offering much less than the asking price, as the house needed alot of work, so our offer probably wouldn't be accepted anyhow. (Man, that was quite the confusing run-on sentence!) So anyhow, that is definitely very disappointing, as we had been waiting to have all the financial things in order to be able to make an offer and then now that they are, it's too late. But, we are trusting that God has the perfect home for us and are grateful that if this wasn't the house we were supposed to have that He made it very clear to us to not proceed. So we are back to looking again...

Life is also getting busy and exciting as we get really close to Jord and El's wedding. I went to her church shower last week, which was so fun. Her mom flew in from South Africa the day before and so was able to be at her shower.  On Thursday, a bunch of us bridesmaids are helping her with last-minute projects. And on Saturday, we are having her personal shower and her sister and friend are going to be coming in time for that. And then...well only a couple weeks until the big day! (which has the big week before it---bachelor/bachelorette parties, the rehearsal and, of course, all the people coming into town!) Fun times are ahead.

Well, I think that's it for my little ramble. Just wanted to give an update on life. Today is my day off, which was nicely started with Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and a talk with MB. Now I need to get to work and finish cleaning my house and going through my closet, which has waaay too many clothes in it and so needs to be purged. Have a great week everyone!
