What a day, what a day...

And it's only noon! I have had trouble sleeping recently, so last night I took an herbal sleeping pill thing at 11ish, since I couldn't fall asleep. That did the trick for sure. It put me right to sleep and I slept soundly, through my alarm, until 9:30! Needless to say, I woke up and panicked, since I'm supposed to be at work at 9! So I scrambled to get dressed and pulled up to work at 10.

And stopped and stared at the firetrucks in front of the building... There's been a threat against Grace churches in our area, so my first thought was "did the guy come and shoot people?" So I called Reina to see if I should come in or go home or run away or what. But luckily it was just that something was wrong with our heater and had filled our offices with smoke. (Really nasty smelling smoke) So we got to get to know our local firefighters and had to stay in the reception area for awhile while they blew all the smoke out of the building. (The picture is of our administrator, Bruce, with one of the firetrucks. Poor man, he's only been working here since April and he's already had to deal with all sorts of craziness!) So, that's a very exciting way to begin your day!

But my day has gotten better. God must have told Tyler that I was going to need encouragement today or something cause I came back from an office Starbucks run (cause after all the excitement, we needed a treat!) to a box of roses on my desk! He sent me flowers, just because! He's such a sweet boy!

So anyhow, that's my day so far. It's noon and now I'm going to actually try to do some work! (And not freeze, cause all the doors are open to air out the building and it's cold today!) How's your day?
