This train is bound for...uh...

Monday night, a train hit a stump or log on the tracks and derailed right near Westcliff---at Independence and Wads, for those of you familiar with the area. Sooo, yesterday morning, Bob came into the office and told us all about it and the staff decided to take a field trip to go see the train. By the way, if you find this morbid, please know that only 3 people were on the train and only one had minor injuries--which after seeing the wreckage, seems like a miracle. So everyone was all right. Anyhow...it was incredible. It looked like someone had just tossed all the cars and left them in a heap. It happened in the perfect spot, as there was steep hills sloping toward the tracks on both sides that helped contain the train, rather than it hitting houses or streets or anything. (Wouldn't that be a startling way to wake up? Um...honey, there's a train in the kitchen.)So...this was my excitement for yesterday. You never know what we are going to do around this office.
