I'm home! Actually I've been home since Saturday afternoon, but life is still moving fast so I haven't had a chance to update here. We had a great time and we didn't meet with any major catastrophes. Though we had many minor ones, like hydro-planing through a mudslide (go MB!), Hattie's eye swelling shut from a mosquito bite, me losing my contacts, accidentally lighting things on fire more than once, and getting lost a few times...but hey, it's all part of the memory-making! Pictures are coming...I had like 350 on my camera and am still in the process of editing them. Here's a couple of Meg's, just for you picture-only type folks.
This is us at 7 am, right before we set off on our adventure. We are wearing the freezer paper stenciled shirts we made. Please note my car behind us featuring the lovely car-top carrier.
And the rear view with our "names" on the back. For those of you who want to know why we call Meg "The Ugly One" or why we have such names at all, there is a online cartoon that was popular when we were younger that is called "Teen Girl Squad" and some brothers (and my future husband) decided to call our little "group" the TGS. And we have been so ever since. MB is not a real character, since there were only 4, so we made one up for her.
I'll post a bit more once my pictures are edited. Right now, it's back to "regular life"--whatever that is! :-) MB is spending the week at our house since her fam is out of town and we're having lots of fun. Also my handsome brother is home from Mexico and I am so glad to be able to hang out with him again--he's been my bestie since the day he was born and I felt a bit lost without him nearby! Speaking of brothers, my other handsome brother cut his hair! It had been long for a year and a half and the night we got home, he let us buzz it. I guess the record-breaking heat around here finally got to him, or something.
And finally, of course, I am so very happy to be back home with my wonderful boy. He was at the Worship God conference while I was gone and really enjoyed it. But I'm so glad to be together again--I'd missed him so very much!
Oh and PS--Scoff if you want, believe it--or don't---but I got a tan! Well...for me. We call it "off-white."
