Weekend Fun...

My, my, it's been busy this weekend. My ears are still ringing from it.

On Sunday, we went to the Colorado Food and Wine Classic with Jordan and Elmarie. There's all these restaurants and vineyards that bring samples of their stuff...it was soooo yummy! We were laughing because most of the people there you could tell were wealthier and were just there to donate to the charities and mingle with friends while sampling here and there. Not us. We charged into that place and went straight down the line, getting one of everything! We ate so much that after being there for only an hour, we left. We were so full and we had tried it all...sometimes more than once! I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately, as I was too busy eating and juggling a piled plate and a wine glass.

Then last night we went to see the Foo Fighters at Red Rocks. (Sorry for the phone pictures...they don't let you take regular cameras in.)

We had tickets to go in July, the day before my birthday, but it got postponed due to illness. It was a great concert...and very loud. My ears still are suffering the aftermath. Hopefully I didn't do anything permanent to them! We had a nice-sized group there...Tyler and I, Jordan and Elmarie, Julian and Amethyst, our friend Adam, and Dustin. (It was fun to go to a concert with Dustin. The past 2 concerts we've had tickets to, I've gotten sick and we've ended up giving Dustin our tickets. I actually had a bad cold yesterday and kept getting calls from Dustin saying "You better stay home. Think of your health! It's ok, I'll take your ticket." But I wasn't about to miss another concert. Then it turned out that Julian had an extra ticket so Dustin got to come, without me getting sick!)

The only bad thing about it being moved to September is that it was COLD! We had to wear winter coats and hats. But despite that, it was still fun. Definitely one of the best concerts talent and music-wise that I've ever been to.

Jord and El came early with us and we tail-gated it for dinner. There's nothing more fun than sitting the the back of your car with good friends while eating! Anyhow...it was a fun memory and a great birthday present--even if it was late!

Now if only I could hear again... ;-)

Well, the weather here is just plain wierd. It's warm again today. Plus Red Rocks is up into the mountains, so once the sun goes down it gets colder no matter what the weather!
