A Ramble...

So, I've been sick with a gross sinus bug since Monday. Not fun at all! I've reached that point where the novelty of being able to lay in bed and watch movies all day has definitely worn off. Like it wore off on Tuesday.

I've been meaning to blog this week, but as I haven't done anything interesting, I guess you're going to get a ramble. As you can see, I changed a few things on my blog sidebar. I've been tempted to get a whole new template thing but I love mine already even though it isn't as fancy as some of them out there. So I guess I'll stick with the old faithful for now. Um, we got air conditioning yesterday. Well,  technically we had an air conditioner. It was from like 1974 or something and didn't work and so therefore didn't help us much last summer. So it'll be nice to have cool air this summer. When they put in our ac, they found mold growing in a filter of our furnace. Yuck! I'm glad we found that and got rid of it before it made us really sick! (Our house inspector should have found that...not very happy with him!)

We've discovered that Tompkins growls. I grew up with a cat and have never heard a cat growl like she does. I think she thinks she's a watchdog or something. The whole time the ac was being installed, she ran from window to window, growling at the ac installer men. I'm sure they found her very intimidating. Today I'm cooking for the first time all week after being sick. We are having a fancy-smancy dinner of egg salad sandwiches. Who ever said I wasn't a gourmet cook?

Well I know I probably lost Meg already, so in the interest of drawing her back, here's a very random old picture:

This is one of my favorite pictures of little me. Probably because it is so very me...and I wish I was doing that right now! You're welcome, Meg.

Anyhow, I'm feeling better and hoping to go to work tomorrow--getting out of the house sounds amazing! Tyler had worship practice, so to help fill the time alone, I had a little at-home spa evening. Nothing makes you feel better like a long, hot shower, a clay mask, and self-given manicure and pedicure! Ahh...
