This weekend's happenings...

Them, while studying abroad in Italy...where it all started!

Firstly, and most importantly, MB and Ben got engaged! I am so supremely happy right now. Nothing brings me more joy than to know that my dear friend gets to experience all the wonders and joys of marriage. And now, that we get to experience all that together. I'm so happy that such an amazing, godly man loves her so much and has won her heart. We love Ben too! I have been so impressed to see how he cares for her, how patient he is with her, his humility and his heart for God. And he is one of the funniest people I know!

For those of you who don't know Ben, here's a sample of the Benjamin we know and love.

MB and I spent our childhood and teen years planning and dreaming of the men we’d marry--now we both have found them! Nothing makes me more happy than seeing how happy she is right now. God has blessed me beyond measure by giving me MB as a friend and now bringing Ben into all our lives too. I love them both so much! See Beth's blog for the story!

Speaking of Beth, be sure to check out her new wedding blog, Where's the Veil?  She is such a talented wedding planner--my wedding wouldn't have been the same without all her advice and help! I know her blog is going to be a great source for wedding wisdom!

And in other news, other than pulling it together enough to go see MB and Ben after they got engaged, I've spent the whole weekend in bed with a UTI that got into my kidneys. (Sorry if that's too much info!) I'm on antibiotics and feeling alot better now, but man, it sure isn't fun to have kidney pain. I've never really thought about them before, but I definitely know where they are now! But luckily for me, I have the best husband ever who took such good care of me and spent part of yesterday cleaning the whole house and doing laundry so I could keep resting today! I'm so blessed...
