A few evenings ago, I happened to glance out my bedroom window and noticed that the sunset was amazing. This picture doesn't show just how pretty it was...

Our backyard has a big feathery hedge that I love, however it was in the way of seeing the sunset better, so I climbed on the air conditioner. It probably wasn't the safest thing to do, since it was running. I had a bit of a "Marilyn Monroe Moment", but I lived.

But I still couldn't see that great. I thought of climbing onto the roof, but the fence that I would normally climb to get there has all this ivy and spiders like to live in ivy, so naturally I was opposed to that idea. Instead I jumped in the car and drove down to the lake, hoping to catch it.

Really people, taking pictures while driving is dangerous. I like to live life on the edge sometimes. (Actually I wasn't looking through the camera-hence the angle-if that makes anyone feel better about my chance for a long life.) The sun was going, going...

Gone. Missed it!

But when I got home, Paul was there waiting and looking very nice. (Did you know the moon's name is Paul? It is. Ask anyone. Well, actually, just ask Megan.)

So it was all good. (And I just have to take a minute to pat myself on the back, because I have been trying to take pictures of the moon for years and this is by far the best ones I've ever gotten!)
