I was waiting to show pictures of Jack's room until I hung some things up on the walls, but I finally realized that if I do that, I may never show you his room. Time, budget, and frankly, desire are currently surpassing inspiration and creativity at the moment. So, here it is. It will be rather short, as his room is pretty small. But a perfect size for little him!
My goal was to have the nursery be gender-neutral, as I plan to use this little room for all our babies and didn't want to have to re-decorate in the future. It was all based around the bedding I loved. (On the Dot bedding from Land of Nod.) Someday I hope to add a mobile over the crib and some art on the walls. We'll see!
This is the view as we walk in. A moment of thanks to Tyler for painting everything, which turned into a bigger job than expected, as part of the ceiling came off when the blue painter's tape was removed. (weird, right?)

This is the re-painted dresser/changing table that I got at the thrift store for $20!

Here's his crib, featuring Morris, the sock monkey, and Jack, who was finding life tragic at that moment. A story about the crib. My original plan was to use the crib my siblings and I slept in as babies. It is a beautiful, dark wood, Jenny Lind crib, complete with tooth marks from all of us. Sadly, when Tyler went to get it, he discovered that some important pieces had been forever lost in some magical secret place in my parents' barn. So we had to buy a crib and the old one still lives in my garage, as I can't bear to throw it away. But the new one is pretty too.

And last, my favorite part, bookshelves! I love them! (Shelves from Target. I love Target.)

I had to have 2 pictures of the shelves.
That's pretty much it, minus the closet, which is pretty much your standard closet and not interesting.
Now maybe someday Jack will actually sleep in it. Hehe. I haven't been able to bring myself to let him leave our room yet. Soon!
