Friday Favorites: Camelbak Water Bottle

I'm not a beverage person. I hate coffee, milk (as a beverage), pop and most alcohol. I only drink tea when I'm trying to be a grown up. Same for wine. Which means I take 3 sips and then leave the rest. If I'm in the mood, I'll drink something like lemonade or a very fattening and sugary Starbucks drink that doesn't have coffee. But I really just like water. Just water. That's what I say at restaurants.

The thing is, I never drink enough water. Especially for a nursing mom, who should try to stay super hydrated. I was really good about drinking water when I worked, as I always had a big glass of it on my desk and re-filling it was a good excuse to get up and take a little break! After quitting to stay home, I got really bad at staying hydrated cause I just get busy doing things and forgot to drink and am prone to knocking glasses over.

When I was in TX awhile ago, I noticed Erin's Camelbak water bottle that she always had with her. And then I borrowed one while I was there and realized it had a straw! I love straws. I always drink more with a straw for some reason. Maybe it makes things more fun. Who knows? I then had water bottle envy and put one on my Christmas list.

My dear Shaw parents got one for me and I love it so very much. It is green like the one in the picture. Green is my favorite color. I carry it around all over and don't have to worry about Jack spilling it or me spilling it. I drink so much more now and have seen a difference in the way my skin is because of being more hydrated. The spout also works for calming teething babies in a pinch. Jack spent one basketball game gnawing away on it. When he gets a little bigger I'm going to get him a kid-sized one. I pretty much think it is the best thing ever.

PS. Not that anyone is probably wondering, but my Friday Fav posts are totally just my opinion on things I like. No one is paying me to write about stuff. (If someone would like me to, then heck yes, I'll do it. That'd be awesome, since I currently make only $0 a month. But since only like my fambly reads this thing, I doubt there's a lot of interest!) Bloggers are just supposed to apparently clarify such things. So, there ya go.

The end.

ironically, i had a much harder time drinking water when i worked at the office. i think i tended to get super caught up in what i was working on and forgot to drink water. since we've been in OKC, though, i've been doing SO much better. i have no idea why... maybe because it's so cold outside that i keep it really warm INSIDE which makes me more thirsty? i have no idea. but i've been drinking much more water lately. and like you, i drink WAY more when using a straw. my favorite is the double-walled starbucks cold cups- with the straw! i drink MUCH more water when i'm using one of those. :)

oh and i'm the same way with alcohol. i kept trying to like cocktails and wine but i eventually realized that i was really only trying to like it because it felt like the "grown up" thing to do, not because i actually liked it. so i decided that that was dumb and i just needed to get over myself. :)

and i'm not fambly but i read your blog!
