It is currently zero degrees outside and that has been the high so far today. It is cold. Or at least it seems cold when I go near our drafty doors and windows. I'm not crazy enough to actually go outside. Besides, that would require me breaking my favorite snow day rule:
Wear pajamas all day. (still in them!)
Other rules are:
Eat a big breakfast. (pancakes!)
Eat cookies. (on my 5th!)
Sit around with fluffy blankets. (I am right now!)
Read books. (next on my list of things to do during naptime)
And have your husband work from home in his pajamas. (he's down in his office, appearing occasionally to get more cookies.)
This was our kitchen window this morning. The picture on top is our family room window currently. We have old windows that get all icy on the inside. We also have nice iron bars to make us feel like we live in the "hood". Someday we'll change all those things. Except for the hood part. Unless our elderly neighbors decide to go all gangsta on us.
Anyhoo, I love days like this. I don't feel like I need to go anywhere or do anything major. Just enjoying having the whole family home. And feeling thankful for our warm, cozy house.
I just threw this in because he is cute. He had purple lips from eating blueberries. And he was being serious and refused to smile. I love him!
