And now...part 2

Happy Birfday, Megsie! I love you, seester!

We began the day with blueberry muffins that were so good I couldn't quite believe that they lacked gluten. Then we were off with Callie to go shopping, eat Pei Wei, and have other adventures. That evening we had a yummy dinner with the whole fam for Meg's b-day, followed by really good gluten-free cupcakes.
I believe I ate, um...well let's not count. And then Meg thought the birthday fun was over...but she was quite wrong!

Little did she know that Brittany was on her way...
Britt (who wasn't on spring break yet) finished her last class then got on the plane and got to TX around 10:30pm. Hosanna "went to Walmart" aka, went to get her. The original plan for surprising Meg didn't work, as it involved us watching a movie and Meg decided she was tired and wanted to go to bed. So MB and I had no choice but to go to bed. Thank the Lord for text messages or else surprises would be so much harder to plan. Britt texted me when she got to the Shaw's and I told the girls I had to go call Tyler. I came out (totally blind, I must mention, as I forgot to put on my glasses) and Britt said "give me your pajamas." I've never been told such a thing before. She put them on and then went back into the dark bedroom, pretending to be me and crawled into bed. She then accidentally cuddled MB for a minute, thinking it was Megan. But finally, she found Meg and started holding her hand, which resulted in Meg yelling "Mindy stop! Geez, I'm not Tyler. Wait...this isn't Mindy's hand. The nails are too short. OH MY GOSH! These are Brittany's dry hands!" She was once again surprised, which is rather miraculous since she always seems to find things out. I'm so glad we were able to pull all our surprises off!

So then we had a glorious 2 nights and 1 day all together. And the first night we all slept in Meg's bed, which was a mistake as we were all were tired and/or had sore backs the next morning. We went out to breakfast at Le Peep, courtesy of Mr. Wood (Thank you, even though you don't read my blog!), and then went shopping and driving and watched a movie, which we didn't like and caused Meg to lecture us about "indie films." And then went out to dinner at La Hacienda which is the best place ever and I think I ate more than I ever had in my entire life! Then we finished the evening watching "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" (really funny...not like certain "indie films"), playing Twister as per our honored tradition,

and talking the night away, laughing and making new jokes and memories. (Literally talking the night away for Britt and I...we hit the 4am hour...I haven't stayed up that late in forever!) The next morning, MB and I left. We were sad to leave but very happy to see our boys' handsome faces upon our arrival home. So anyhow...it was a wonderful trip and I can't wait until our next time all together---and hopefully Hattie will be with us for it! I'm so thankful for the friends God has blessed me with---I don't know what I'd do without them!

Thanks for having me, fambly. I loved seeing you all and miss you and love you!

We watched "Once" which I've had recommended to me several times...but I don't know if it was our mood or what but there wasn't a very fast-moving plot and so we got bored. But don't skip it just cause I didn't like it. I might if I tried it again...

well you DID only watch literally 15 minutes of it and that's IT. so, yes, not much plot will evolve in that short of time ;)
brittany couldn't stop playing the soundtrack tho. so she might have to sit down and watch the actual movie soon
