And of course, I got to see the cutest, Miss Violet Eve...
...who had learned so many new tricks since Christmas. She walks and kisses and says "papa" and so many fun things!
The coolest thing about my trip is that, secretly, I wasn't the only one coming. Growing up, Meg, MB, Britt, and I were all really close friends. (and still are!) Hattie later joined our bunch and some dear brothers (and future husbands, at least for me) started to call us The Teen Girl Squad. Well, the TGS, minus Hattie who is in Romania, secretly planned to reunite for Meg's b-day.The first part of our plan happened on Tuesday: MB came!
To hear the whole story, you can read Cal's blog. (It was a very interesting day involving lots of rain, contemplating a drive to Oklahoma, and an umbrella that wasn't built for 3.) Meg was totally surprised, which was great since we were all worried that we might have slipped and given something away. So then the fun continued with visits to a graveyard (I love them...yeah it's kinda weird.) and parks and more shopping and bonding in Gap and eating and movies. (Step Up 2 the Streets! And dancing followed thereafter...) The three of us slept in Meg's bed, which was, uh...cuddly, but surprisingly comfortable. There is a lovely picture of this, here. Thanks alot, Mom... ;-)
And that's all for part one of my Texas trip, join us next time when we discuss: THE BIRTHDAY!
Thank you and good, uh, afternoon!
