Five For...Saturday?

1. Fridays have been busy for me lately, as you can tell. Yesterday, I ran to the mall after work to buy Casey's birthday present and then we went to my parents' for birthday dinner for Casey and I. The rest of the evening was spent hearing the boys blow up dry ice bombs, dyeing Jen's hair brown, and hot tubbing.

2. On Tuesday, we went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It was really good--I was disappointed they left a few things out, but maybe they'll be in the next one. It was probably the funniest of the films. And the photographer in me loved the colors--it was really beautiful. Tyler, my dad, and I all felt like the only adults in a sea of teenagers, but we still had a good time and stayed up later than I have since who knows when!

3. I turned 22 on Wednesday. It's strange because for some reason I kept thinking all year that I was 22 already, so it hasn't been any adjustment. Not that I ever feel like birthdays are. As a kid, people always asked me "how does it feel to be 13?" or whatever and I always found that to be a weird question. Though sometimes I feel like I should still be about 16...

4. My birthday was a fun day. I slept in--after going to bed at 3:30--and then got up and headed to the pool with MB and Elmarie. They brought donuts and strawberries for breakfast and we ate and talked and tanned! Then I came home and hung out and then Ty had some friends and my family come over for dinner and dessert! He always makes my bday special!

5. My poor car is still broken. I think Tyler figured out what is wrong and to fix it is going to cost more than we were hoping, but it'll all work out. It just won't be fixed till sometime next week, so I have to figure out my car situation for this week. I was driving Dustin's truck while he was in Mexico, but he comes home tomorrow. Ty is becoming quite the mechanic with all these car issues. And the highlight of his week was getting a shiny, red, new lawnmower. I've never seen anyone so excited to mow a lawn!
