Our Favorites: Cheesy Potatoes

I rarely make this, since it isn't the healthiest thing in the world, but it is one of our favorite side dishes. So, in honor of the 4th of July and the fact that I'm looking forward to eating some today at our family BBQ with the Bendis, here it is!

Cheesy Potatoes
I'm sure there's a real name, but that's what we kids have been calling it forever!

In a large bowl, pour 1 bag of hash browns (the kind in cubes)
Add 1 can cream of potato soup, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can diced green chilis, and 1 16-oz. carton sour cream, mix well.
Pour in a well greased 9x13, spread.
Cover with grated cheese (I normally just stir the cheese in--however much I like.)
Bake at 350 for 1 hour. (Or you can put it in the crockpot for 10 hours. The oven version gets crisper on top)
