2. I went thrifting today with my mom and was so happy to find several summery things and all for $20 total. This summer I'm challenging myself to spend as little as possible on clothes. (I really don't normally spend much anyhow--I can't remember the last time I paid more than $20 for a single item, except for my bridesmaid dress. I'm a bargain shopper who has learned from the best--namely, my mom and mom-in-law!) It's working pretty well so far and I'm having fun being creative.
3. Tyler and I have been gathering our camping gear and buying a few new things this week in anticipation for our upcoming camping trip. I've also been cooking ahead a bit. And making lists, which is one of my favorite things to do! I'm sooo excited for our little trip! I plan to bring magazines and books and tan by river and read--basically pretending I'm at the beach, only with all the fun of camping included! Can't wait to go!
4. Right now I'm reading the book Mrs. Meyer's Clean Home and really liking it. She's a lady who had 9 kids and is very practical and frugal about keeping a house. And she writes well--I find it entertaining!
5. Ummm...I'm out of things to say. I guess I'll stick with, "Have a great 4th of July!"
Belated Note/#6: I just realized that as of yesterday, we've had our house for a whole year! Happy House-iversary to us! I love it so much still and am so grateful to have such a wonderful home!
