The Worst Names Ever...

Ok, I should be catching up on Christmas, baby news, and pictures of my ever-expanding stomach. But I shan't right now. I just felt the great need to share the truly terrible baby names that were just suggested to me by The Baby Name Genie. I found this random link somewhere on some baby website or something and was bored so tried it. And couldn't stop laughing at the dreadful names.

First up the "genie" says:

Larry Shaw

Larry Cameron Shaw

Am I right or am I right?

Ummm...not so much. Though that is my dad's first name. But he told me I should never name my child after him and I kind of agree. (Side random story. My dad's neighbors when he was growing up named their DAUGHTER after him. Poor little Larry Gail. Totally not joking.)

And then the little thing gave me these wonders: (Apologies to anyone who thinks they are great.)

Harold Hudson Shaw (Um, no thank you.)

Michael Armani Shaw (Armani? And then we can name his sister Prada. Or Chanel. Or Louis Vuitton.)

Justin Anderson Shaw (Ok, this might seem like a normal one. But I had a neighbor named Justin Anderson--first and last name. He was a nice guy, but I'm not naming my kid after him!)

Lamar Julian Shaw (Every time I see this I think "Julian used to work at Lamar's." Well, he did.)

Sebastian Lamar Shaw (They like Lamar it would seem. I swear I'm not making any of these up...I copied and pasted them in as they came.)

Gavin Javen Shaw (Gavin Javen?)

Conrad Maximus Shaw (To quote Friends, "why do you hate our child?")

And the crowning indignity:

Adonis Sage Shaw

So many problems. So. So. Many.

It was then I decided the Genie wasn't going to be any help and instead wrote this blog post. If you're bored, feel free to ask the Genie names yourself, for my son or for your own children. I'm sure you'll find some lovely ones.

(PS---I'm not actually looking for names. Little bumpkin is named already and we call him by it. It's not a secret, but Tyler doesn't want me to put it on the internet till he is born. If you're dying to know, ask me in person.)
