The end of a season...

Today I had my last day of work. It's a strange thought to wrap my head around. Honestly, I don't feel sad because it doesn't feel real. I don't think it will sink in for several weeks and then I'm really going to miss it. I can't even begin to imagine how much I will miss it.

Church offices are amazing places to work. Sometimes there is alot of stress and change and because it's your church too, it's more personal and it gets hard. But, despite that, it still is such an incredible place to be. I really can't even explain it. I had always wanted to work there and since I have, I can't imagine working anywhere else. I have had the privilege of working with the most wonderful people who genuinely care about me and my life. Having co-workers (who are really friends) who are willing to pray with you when you're having a hard day is awesome. The laid-back attitude and the flexibility is great. More than anything for me though, was that I got paid to work in a place I love, doing things with and for the people I love---the church, my church.

God has been so kind to allow me to spend over four years there. I started as an 18 year old college student and the office was still in it's old location. Today, I left my office in our building as a 22 year old pregnant wife. So much has happened in life and in the church over the years. I'm so grateful for the time I've had there. And I'm glad that I still get to be a part of it--now just in a new way in my new stage of life!
