36 weeks...

37 tomorrow. That is officially considered full-term. And I am now officially uncomfortable! The past few days I've started to feel yuckier. Part of that was probably my fault as I overdid it on the nesting earlier this week and got a talking-to from my midwife and from Tyler. (But my closets all are beautiful and my bathroom will probably never be so clean ever again!) Nesting is a strange thing. Tyler thinks I'm crazy. I have been cooking and freezing meals, stocking up on things at the grocery store, baking dozens of muffins and freezing them...it just makes me happy to know all of that is here. (Except with my desire to eat like every hour, I feel like I eat half of my progress as I go!) And I've been trying to deep clean and organize my whole house. I've slowed down a bit on that since I've started feeling uncomfortable more and sleeping weirdly. (awake at 4am anyone?) My mom and sister are going to help me a bit next week and then hopefully I'll be done with the big projects. If it doesn't get done, oh well. It's just so funny how I have these mad compulsions to clean everything!

We are finishing up on the nursery. I'll post pictures when it is done.

I am now telling the baby several times a day that he can go ahead and come out. I've started taking evening primrose oil and drinking red raspberry leaf tea, which I find to be gross, but anything that might help is worth it to me! I've been having lots of Braxton Hicks and they are definitely getting stronger as time goes on. Tyler and I have our hospital tour today and at my appointment next week, we are walking through labor and delivery plans with the midwife, just to make sure we've covered everything. Baby J is head down and looking like he's going to be positioned just the way we want him. He hasn't "dropped" yet that we can tell. I'm really praying he does soon because I have such a smothered feeling when I'm laying down that it makes it hard to sleep and I could use the teensy bit more room for breathing! He measured in at 38 weeks at my last appointment, which puts him a week and a half ahead, though at this point my midwife isn't putting too much stock in measurements. (I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'd love if that means he's coming sooner than later!) All in all, everything is looking good with me and him and we're pretty much just to the waiting point right now. Trying to enjoy these last weeks with just the two of us---though we pretty much just sit around and talk about the baby being born. Tyler is possibly even more excited than me for him to get here!

I love feeling him kicking around inside me all the time, but I am so looking forward to seeing his face and holding him. He'll be here before we know it...
