Apartment tour time...finally

Ok, I told Bek that I'd do a tour of my apartment a long time ago. I finally uploaded all the pictures. And I figure since we are hopefully moving in a few months I should probably give this tour while we still live there. Anyhow, a few words of explanation, firstly, sorry that alot of the pictures are rather dark. I took them really quickly and so I didn't pay very much attention to the lighting. Um. Actually I think that's all the explanation needed...so here we go...

Our Apartment...part 1

This is the little entryway. The door with all the locks on it is the one to outside. The other one is the closet. Please note the key rack, as it is very important to my husband and to Jordan who has a spot on it. I personally never use it. I love the tile in the entry as it hides all dirt and such things. I want that tile in my whole house, then I'd only have to mop like once a month.

This is taken standing in the entryway. It's my laundry room and though it is probably the least pretty or tidy room in the house, it's one of my favorites simply because I know alot of apartment-dwellers don't have one. And its useful for storing random junk in. Or hiding things when you have company on the way and a messy house.

Here is what you see on your left when you walk in the front door. It's our fambly room and the dining area is behind it. You can also see out onto one of our balconies, which contains our grill. Also that is our couch, which is one of my favorite things. It can hold like 10 people sitting or 3 adults fit laying down on it--which makes it perfect for Sunday afternoon naps.

Here's another view of the room. There's our fireplace which I love for snowy nights and on the left is our TV which is the source of many movie nights and men playing video games.

An up-close look at the picture over our fireplace. It was a gift from our friends the Browns. Their daughter, Emily, shot our wedding and this was her favorite picture...it's mine too. It's the only picture in our family room as we are saving our other wall for a painting my friend Caitlin is doing.

Here's our dining area...I love our table. And I love the big window here. Every morning I sit at the chair on the right and eat my breakfast and look out the window. My other favorite thing in this room is the painting Tom Barnes did for us...I love having art from people I know, so I'm trying to mostly use that in my house. Luckily I have talented friends!
