Mi casa es Picasa...

I know some of you view my Picasa albums. I just wanted share a few changes I've made with those of you who do so.

I use Picasa as another form of backup for my pictures. I put everything on there in large format so in case my laptop and external hard drive both fail (or my house burns down), I still have everything saved online. I also love that friends can see all my pictures and I keep them available to be downloaded by my friends as well, since it saves me tons of time that used to be spent emailing pictures to people.

Lately I've been noticing some strange activity on there though--not by any of you, of course! And since I have begun to pursue photography more, Tyler and I decided I needed to up my privacy settings in order to protect myself and my pictures better. So I've changed all albums to require being invited to view them and signing in with your google account to do so. (I am very annoyed, by the way, that you can't just allow certain people to view ALL your albums, because sending the invites for all 70 of them to friends to be able to still see is a major pain. If anybody knows how to do this easier, let me know! The ones I invited are prob wanting to kill me for the 70 emails they just got.)

All this to say, I'd still LOVE for you to be able to see my pictures, if you so desire. So please email me (melindakshaw--it's gmail) or leave your email in the comments if you want me to start inviting you to see my new ones. (If you want to be able to see all the old ones, tell me and I'll invite you for that too, just prepare yourself for 70 emails.) Anyhow, just wanted to explain all that...let me know if you have any questions!

Watermark!!! Seriously, I'm going to start watermarking all my blog images. Also, disable right click on your blog. It's sad that it's necessary...

Also, that's why I like Flickr - people can "friend" me and I can choose what to keep private, public or visible to friends.
